Jonathan and I got to have a pretty low-key weekend, but I thought I would post to let you know what we've been up to! Saturday, we decided to find a new place to walk the dogs -- some place a little greener and less crowded than our usual harbor walk.
First, we went to Gwynns Falls Park.
We cut across town - bad idea. Thought maybe the park would be out of town far enough, but when we got there, we parked in a deserted parking lot and decided we needed to turn around when we came across several downed trees and glass on the trail. Not exactly maintained... Fortunately, our hike was brief and uneventful -- so we jumped back in the car to try somewhere else.
I just looked for the next green spot on the map, a little further outside of the city and happened upon McKeldin Park. And it was what we were hoping for! Here is some footage from our turn-around point.
Achilles got to wear a pack filled with... Mexican Dominoes. It was the smallest, heaviest thing we could find. So we heard the dominoes bouncing around in his pack the whole hour we were out hiking the park.
He'll be upgrading to a bigger pack soon (perhaps when I get a job :)) -- he weighed in at
73 lbs yesterday morning! I don't know why, but we're still surprised by how fast he is growing. And we're not sure when he's going to stop...
